Privacy Policy

JonesAiTech ("we", "us") is a UK-based digital agency run by Regan Jones. This policy explains what information we collect through www.jonesaitech.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we only collect what you choose to give us, we use it to reply to you, and we never sell it.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect and why

Contact and quote forms. When you submit our contact form or request a free website audit, we collect your name, email address, any message you write, and (for audits) your website address. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and provide what you asked for. Form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service that processes the submission in order to email it to us.

The AI chat assistant. Our website includes an AI chat assistant. Messages you type are sent to our server and processed by OpenAI's API to generate replies. If you choose to share your name and email address during a chat (for example, to request a quote), those details and the conversation are emailed to us so we can follow up. Don't share sensitive personal information in the chat — it isn't needed for a quote. Per OpenAI's API terms, conversations sent through the API are not used to train their models.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location by country, device type). It is cookie-free and does not identify individual visitors.

Technical data. Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting files from Google's servers.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We don't add you to a marketing list without your consent — an enquiry gets a reply, not a newsletter.
• We don't set advertising or tracking cookies.

Our lawful basis

We process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to a message you sent us) and, where you request something specific like an audit, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Analytics runs on legitimate interest and collects no personal identifiers.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry and maintain normal business records. If you'd like your details deleted sooner, just ask — see below.

Third parties we rely on

• Vercel — website hosting and cookie-free analytics
• Web3Forms — delivers form submissions to our inbox
• OpenAI — generates the AI chat assistant's replies
• Google Fonts — serves the site's typefaces

Each processes data only as needed to provide their service. Some of these providers are based outside the UK (primarily the United States) and rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop processing it. Email jonesaitech@gmail.com and we'll act on it promptly — there's no form to fill in. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data — for example, adding a new tool — we'll update this page and the date at the top.
